MEDITRAIN
ANNOUNCES 1 YEAR OF EXCELLENCE IN TRAINING
September 1, 2007
For Immediate Release
On September 1, 2007, Akron, Ohio based MediTrain, LLC celebrates
its first year in business.
MediTrain, led by Paramedic Philip Myers, provides initial and
continuing education training to a host of healthcare providers, including
nurses, doctors, dentists and hygienists, and EMS personnel as well as
childcare providers in Northeast Ohio.
In it's first year in business, MediTrain has trained over 2,000
such people both at its training center on South Arlington Road in Akron,
Ohio as well as at satellite locations in Parma, Ohio, and on-site at its
client's locations, making it a leader in providing such education in
Northeast Ohio. MediTrain is the preferred provider of
continuing education for a leading Northeast Ohio hospital system and a
leading Northeast Ohio medical college.
MediTrain's motto, "Providing Skills for Life", sums up
in one statement the type of training it provides. One of the many
courses offered by MediTrain is Heartsaver CPR (Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation). According to The
American Heart Association,
early CPR plus early advanced care can result in high (greater than 50
percent) long-term survival rates for witnessed ventricular fibrillation
(cardiac arrest)*.
In addition to Heartsaver CPR training, MediTrain also provides
other American Heart Association courses, such as Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). For childcare providers, MediTrain
offers Pediatric First Aid, Preventing & Identifying Child Abuse &
Neglect and Communicable Diseases Prevention & Management, all of
which are approved courses by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family
Services (ODJFS).
MediTrain's training also extends to EMS Personnel, offering
48-hour Paramedic Refresher courses and EMT Refreshers. MediTrain
is an approved continuing education site for the Ohio Department of Public
Safety (ODPS), Site # 2360.
In a recent statement from MediTrain's President & CEO Philip
Myers, "MediTrain's first year can only be described as an
extraordinarily uphill struggle, but has been successful because of the
vigilance of our employees and instructors and our dedication to providing
excellence in First Aid & CPR training."
